My team (I'm a late-season sub) got knocked 18-6 last night. I was 2 for 2, both singles in the center field gap. Played two innings at Short, did nothing but act as cut-off man.

Yeah, it's one of those things where you're going to have some bad calls go your way and some go against you and it just sometimes piles up in one game. It sucks that it had to be a game that was this close. I don't mind the bang-bang close plays being called wrong so much, but how in the world do you call a high, long, fly ball a fair ball before it even lands (and by before it lands, I mean before it's even peaked), even after it lands 5 feet foul, even after everyone, on both teams, stops, after everyone is saying it was foul, and let the guy go to third, late in the game. I mean, this was a one run game where one of their runs game off of a foul ball triple, and the run right after that came from a dude Matt pretty clearly tagged out at second.

It was just a frustrating game. The drama was nice though. You can't beat an exciting game. A couple bad calls, a couple bad plays, and two almost homers made the difference. We'll get them next week.
