Changes this season: No lineup sheets, only one lineup card the ump will have. This means we it will be harder to throw the team together 5 minutes after the game should be starting because only one team can have lineup card at a time. No First/Second halfs: The league decided to thwart Nutcan by ending our "use the first half as practice, win the second half, and go on to greater glory" tactic. |

What I believe Jon is saying as that he is going to play the part of GM/Manager and that someone else can play the part of PR director. Make sure you notify WEAU when you decide to hold your practice. You want to drum up some publicity to get fans in the seats come gametime. |

Then once you have it, you, or anyone who wanted shirts enough to take the lead on the issue, could contact everyone to see if they want shirts, only you have to make sure they want them enough to actually pay for shirts, because everyone likes the idea of shirts, but not everyone likes committing to the idea of shirts and paying for them. Be sure to get a consensus on if they want just a team name on the front or if they want a number on the back too. Or you can get team on the front plus a number and also the individual name on the back. Each additional feature would raise the price of course. Then if you have enough for an actual order (which would be at least 12) you can see if there's any shirt actually available in the proper quantities and sizes that everyone wants. That information is on the internet for anyone to look at. Then you can pick a design. At that point I'm sure the guy who can possibly get a discount would be happy to place the order for the team. This sounds like a winning plan! Of course, if that plan doesn't appeal to anyone, we can all just write each other snarky, passive-agressive notes on the internet. Good stuff indeed. OK, now that we've all had our turn to to be jerks to one another and we have that out of our system, in all seriousness I'd be happy to support an effort to get shirts for the team. I'd even use any info or discounts I have if that can help. But I'm asking/suggesting that others take the lead if they're really concerned about getting it done. |

I'm not. Like you said, we all like the IDEA of shirts, but it's all too big of a hassle to coordinate, and ultimately we're all paying for everything, and I don't think anyone wants to add $15.* We could easily work this all out if we had some sort of place we could all congregate at our leisure to state our vote/opinion, if only such a place existed, and there was some way that everyone on the Nutcan.com softball team could be told about it. Should we make a facebook group, and then call everyone to tell them about it, and hope they're all already on facebook? If we have a practice it's just going to have to be getting at our first game early, or Sunday evening, but that's mother's day too. *Or I guess I should say, some of us would, but it has to be an all or nothing thing, and I suspect there are a couple people out there who couldn't afford it, or wouldn't want it. |

Apparently if the last comment of a thread is deleted it fell off the map, and Jon made a comment he must have thought better of. | Our record is fixed. I've found things that say winning % is (wins/games), (wins/(wins+losses)), and ((wins+.5*ties)/games) in pretty equal amounts. I suspect though that there must be an "actual" one. If anyone can provide a link to something concrete, let me know. I went with the half win one. |

| Ha, I read the thread, so the yellow went away, then I forgot. No, we're not allowed to have guest players. You have to be on the roster, and it's $10 to add an out of towner. Of course, people usually don't make that big of a deal out of it either. We're all set for guys though, unless something changes. It's just those damn ladies you can't count on. Especially Sarah. |

Also, Packone, I couldn't hear what you were asking me over the wind in the outfield, all I kept hearing was "point six", so if you're wondering what the RC column is, for which you have .6, it's Runs created. The margin of error on that seems to be much higher that .6 though.  |
