Packers 34 @ Lions 12

	Jeremy Stafford has the game of a lifetime, then remembers he has the Packers up next and gets hurt on the last play of the game. Sure, the Packers would probably win these games anyway, but it would be nice if they had to play them with any of their best players once in a while.
	Matt Since I assume that Jeremy will cover the whole "Stafford and Johnson get injured just in time for the Packers" angle [checking..... yup it's covered], I'll just say Detroit 27 - Green Bay 21.

	Sarah The annual national Lions game. When was the last time they were on a Sunday night or Monday night game? Someone else can look that up for me. The Lions usually turn it up a notch on T-Day, so it should be interesting game. Our defensive stars are out, but their only offensive weapons may be out, so that'd kind of a wash. I guess it's up to A-Rod to win this game. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Raiders 7 @ Cowboys 24

	Jeremy The Cowboys trail 3-0 with 24 yards of offense before scoring a TD with 12 seconds left to win.

	Jon This could be a good game.
	Sarah There are a lot of interesting match ups this week. This is one I don't care about, hurray for travel time!

Giants 6 @ Broncos 26

	Jeremy These teams square off to decide, once and for all, who will be the team you can least predict anything about.

	Jon Instead of complaining that I can't watch this game, I'm going to be thankful that I can watch the other two and be happy that I can spend some time doing other stuff instead of watching this.
	Sarah For a lot of the games, I think it's just going to come down to who can suck less. These two teams are on some of the worst slides I've seen in awhile.

Bears 10 @ Vikings 36

	Jeremy If my calculations are correct, the Bears would be eliminated this week. Hopefully Cutler gives the Vikings 19 opportunities for easy interceptions.
	Matt The Bears haven't shown any signs of being good lately, but you never know, especially with division matchups. That said... Minnesota 37 - Chicago 10.
	Jon The ol' second half of the season meeting for the first time trick. Here's the thing, this game got moved to a later time, so now I'm going to have to miss it. I will be attempting a blackout. No football info until I can watch the recording of this game, which won't be until very late at night. So no calls or texts or anything about the game until I give the go-ahead.
	Sarah Remember when everyone was excited that we were going to have Rodgers, Favre, and Cutler in our division lighting it up? Cutler has been a major disappointment, and the Bears luck with QBs continues.

Steelers 17 @ Ravens 20

	Jeremy It's tough to win with your 3rd string Qb, but on the other hand, does anyone feel like the Ravens are one of those teams, of which there's one every year, that everyone insists on insisting are a great team, no matter how many games they lose?

	Jon Apparently the Dennis Dixon era has begun. I watched him a little in college I think. Impressive, but that was years ago and college, so I won't expect an outstanding performance.
	Sarah Should be a good game. What's the status on Big Ben? Might have to change my pick closer to game time.

Patriots 17 @ Saints 38

	Jeremy Let's go Pats! The Saints have played some ugly football lately, so maybe it's premature to say that this game will decide 15-1 or 16-0, but let's just get one in the loss column and see what happens from there.
	Matt I don't like the Patriots, and I'm kind of indifferent on the Saints these days, so even though it's a big matchup, I'm not really that interested.
	Jon Anyone outside of New England cheering for the Patriots in this one? Of course, don't be silly. But I want New Orleans and I think a lot of other people do too. Then again, I shouldn't want the Saints to win. It would help Minnesota if they lost. And I don't really hate New England, they're just annoying a bit. But I like Drew Brees. Now I don't know what to do. Hey two Big Ten quarterbacks.
	Sarah The Patriots can suck it. I'm so sick of them and every time they lose, it just makes me so happy! I am not sure if I've gotten to watch more than 5 minutes of a Saints game this year, so it'll be interesting to see if they are the team of the NFC this year up close and personal.

I love how Jeremy always points out that the Packers play teams that have hurt players just one week after the Packers lost 2 of their best defensive players for the season in 1 qtr. In fact, one of the Packer writers for JSOnline.com wrote that you have to go back to the 60s the last time the Packers had two more devastating injuries in one game. It would just be nice to hear a more creative critique at some point. And furthermore, Stafford did play, his shoulder didn't seem to affect him that much, but the Packers defense is just that good. I'm looking at some stats from NFL.com and I think Aaron Rodgers is really coming into his own. He seems to be figuring some things out where he struggled even as recent as three weeks ago. For one thing, he hasn't gotten sacked much in the last three games, I think like 4 total in the last 3 games. Considering he was averaging about 5 per game, that's a pretty big improvement. But aside from that, because we all knew that he needed to improve that area there's this: he is becoming a big play QB who still has a high completion percentage. Rodgers is second in the NFL in number of completions over 40 yards, and 4th in completions of 20 or more. And he's still in the top 3rd of completion percentage, and he's 2nd in yards per attempt. Now I'm not saying that he is the next re-incarnation of Favre, but in the 2nd half of his 2nd year as a starter, he is playing very well, and I think a big part of the Packers' success must be attributed to him. Some of their failures should be attributed to him, but I guess that's how the QB position goes. All-in-all, I am very excited about the current and future of the Packers QB position where I once was a bit skeptical. And by the way, for anyone who didn't realize (me being one of those) Aaron Rodgers has a fricken cannon of an arm. He threw a pass against Detroit that traveled 70 yards in the air. I watched the replay over and over again, and it didn't even look like he put everything into it. Maybe that's sort of like a baseball player overswinging doesn't mean he's going to hit it farther, but still, he seemed to plant and throw, and the ball just took off. The announcers even mentioned that it would have been a touchdown but that it was "underthrown" a bit so Driver had to come back to it. Ok, 70 yards in the air, does it qualify as "underthrown" at that distance?		Rate this comment Yours: Rated 0 times.
