Falcons 3 @ Vikings 24
Jeremy: Did you guys hear Vick isn't even going to be playing in this game? I guess he's in some sort of legal hot water. It's tough to say how either of these teams will do this year. (More so than the usual "a few teams surprise you a few 'good' teams suck" phenominon.) I wont be surprised by a 3-6 game or a 30 point spread one way or another.Sarah: 1999? While defense wins championships, you need any offense at all to win some games. With no proven quarterback, and their best WR a Packer never been, I think the Vikings will be hurtin' this year. Who did let the dogs out?
Matt: Bobby Wade for MVP!!!
Jon: I was so disturbed by all the strange ways Minnesota has decided to dismantle their team that I had to remind myself to enjoy the fact that we drafted Adrian Peterson. Adrian freaking Peterson! I should have been really happy about this. I am happy. But I can' t help but be weary of our chances. You know, it's kind of strange. There's actually talent at most every position except big question marks at qb and receiver. So maybe they'll be fine.
Eagles 13 @ Packers 16
Jeremy: Brett Favre looked off in the preseason and A-Rod looked like a superstar. Luckily for Favre he could have 25 interceptions heading into week 3, and lose a limb in a tragic lawn mowing accident, and no one would even think of suggesting A-Rod should start ahead of him.Sarah: Finally, the Eagles come to Lambeau. Or have they been here recently? I'm not going to fact-check. It'll be nice to see Favre back in action. Our defense will be fun to watch. Too bad our GM doesn't care about our offense.
Matt: I guess this is when I'm supposed to say something like "4th and 26". Well, that would be cliche, so instead I'll just say that the Packers suck.
Jon: This was one of the easiest games for me to pick, which means the Packers will probably win.
Giants 35 @ Cowboys 45
Jeremy: I think it's safe to say the Giants are the drama queens of the league.Sarah: Cat fights between football players are fun.
Matt: Can we stop making these stupid comments? Nobody has had anything good to say for about 3 years now.
Jon: I don't understand how these teams got a nationally televised game.
Ravens 20 @ Bengals 27
Jeremy: Apparenly Carson Palmer suffered some sort of knee injury, though it doesn't get much play on the airwaves.Sarah: I don't know
Matt: Seriously, I don't think I've had a thing to say about any game since week 10 in 2003 (look it up).
Jon: Carson Palmer is one of those players that I can't help but love. I had him on my fantasy team.
Cardinals 17 @ 49ers 20
Jeremy: This game leaves a little to be desired on paper. Though supposedly the 49ers are supposed to be good this year.Sarah: Cardinals take the division? Not on my watch.
Matt: Really, nobody even cares about this game.
Jon: You wanna crown the niners? Then crown 'em!

| Someone should do a statistical analysis to see if the 1st week of the season is really more unpredictable than any other random week. I didn't really know who to pick, so I went mostly with the home team. | ||

It seems the picks are filling in a bit. I can see how we do in week one vs other weeks, but that might not be helpful. |

Brett Favre Rule! You can't sell out your home games! Tony Mandarich! Gary Anderson! Domes are for sissies! Only morons buy stock with no value! Etc. Seriously though, the Saints looked AWFUL and not just because the Colts looked so good. Drew Breeze looked inept and Reggie Bush looked like it was his first time ever running a football. They are dripping with potential one year wonderdom, and this game didn't help their cause to prove they aren't. The time of death comment was in jest, but man....they looked horrid. |

| Hindsight is 20/20, and we'll see how Joey does against the Vikings, but I wonder if Atlanta is wishing they had resigned Schaub. I guess it depends on how he does as a full-time starter. (of course he is playing on the Texans...) | ||

What a debut for the kicker. I'm not sure how the Packers pulled that one out. I hope every team they play makes that many stupid mistakes. Although, the Packers defense was pretty solid the whole game. I'll them that. |

2 fumbled punts and McNabb 2wice threw to wide open Packers? I think it's a conspiracy to get Favre into the Super Bowl. Crosby was the steal of the draft. And in case anybody was waiting for me to drop him, Joey is now on the waiver wire. |

Saints 10 @ Colts 41
Jeremy: Well well well, if it isn't the start of the NFL season.Sarah: There are going to be some really good games this first week. It's always hard to tell what's going to happen. There could be a few upsets while some teams find their grooves, or some teams could actually better or worse than we thought they were. I like the Saints in this one though. The Colts have been greedy, paying a few key stars way mucho grande money and having to let go a lot of their other "non" stars in return to stay under the cap. So, I think they're on the down turn.
Matt: Peyton Manning is good.
Jon: I think homefield is the difference here. That, and Indianapolis is better.
