|The price of one of those outfits is how much I spend for a year on clothes. Although that probably comes out to maybe 4 outfits because I still wear clothes from high school.|

The NY Times doesn't have a sense of humor. I'm sure their fashion people think these are real bargains. Plus fashion people think ridiculous outfits look good, so their judgment is dubious to begin with.
