Goodbye to Torii*- in styleSo most of Twins Territory showed up (almost 30k in attendance, billions by TV!) to watch what could be the last home game for Torii Hunter.
I'll always remember Torii's last performance at the Dome... proof of his 6 Golden Gloves still evident, as he robbed batters of doubles. Every at bat was a standing O, every catch received thunderous applause...
But the one thing that will stand out the most was how the entire Dome responded with the loudest and most sustained "BOOO" I had ever heard when Torii was intentionally walked in his last at-bat at the Homer Dome*. I guess that just proves, yet again, that Torii Hunter, Minnesota Twins Veteran of 9 seasons, is a force to be reckoned with- and a talent that must be re-signed at almost any price.
*- Of course, we don't know for sure if this is it...

*Not technically an at-bat since it was a walk, but that's nit-picking.
If by "almost any price" you mean around $7 million per year, then maybe.

We already offered him 15. I'm a salesman; 15 really means "20, but I'm a cheap-ass"

Apparently Hunter dove for a ball and missed, allowing a triple. Somehow Carl was wearing some sort of rose colored thingies on his face

I could plainly see that there little chance he could get there in time. He tried like hell though.
