Think of the children!!!

Seriously, I loathe people like these morons who believe that kids will even notice some goofy looking bastard, whom they likely can't even identify, on the box of cereal their mom brought home for them, let alone will "take a message" from it.

Edit: Also I enjoy the fact that they are all concerned that he will make a bad role model for kids because he'll be endorsing a sugary cereal (which I still suspect is health food compared to other cereals) but the fact that he got busted driving drunk, two years before he was of legal drinking age, is largely forgotten.

Wasn't there a Johns Hopkins report that came out earlier this month predicting we are all going to be overweight by 2048?
The whole country.
Yikes.

I don't know, but I did just read about a study that found that an awful lot of skinny people are unhealthy and an awful lot of obese people are healthy.

That's why the government is causing oil prices to rise, housing prices to crash, and the economy to tank. They know that it's the only way to keep the general population from over-eating themselves to death, because at some point people will start eating less if they don't have any money. Luckily the government is there to step in and protect us from ourselves again. emoticon

Of course, it's so simple. You do realize that you just got us all "disappeared" right?

Back on this, I really don't see how that's possible. I mean, for one thing "overweight" is a relative term. By 2048 average height could go up 6 inches. Either way, in 2048 there won't be one person, or even a significant portion of society, still interested in not being chubby? I would be willing to believe that eventually the people who are naturally "normal" weight might stop existing, but the numbers are going to plateau at a certain level. This is of course assuming there isn't a big medical break through by then where we take a pill and wake up 20 pounds lighter, or the fatty gene is reprogrammed in infants, or something, which there easily could be by then.

PS - When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be about the Michael Phelps menu that was released last week (the egg sandwiches, the pancakes, the energy drinks, etc;).
That article made me so hungry !!
