Did anyone else watch this show? Sarah and I watched it last night. Fox promoted it so heavily that I almost didn't watch it just for that reason. (I have a mind of my own! I play by my own rules!)

However we watched it, more or less because nothing else was on. It sucked. I didn't think it was possible but I think they may have found a way to make the John Conner character even MORE of an annoying jackass than in the movies. At least he wasn't some whiny EMO kid in the movies.

Secondly, they kept forcing in references to the movies like the line "Come with me if you want to live." I'm no expert on the movies, but I assume this line came about because in the first movie they spend all their time running like hell from a Terminator. Then, that same model shows up in the second movie to protect them. I assume the line is to get across "I'm here to protect you, not slaughter you." On the show he's getting chased by a robot, the girl hits the robot with her truck and then says it, but he has no reason NOT to trust some random hot girl who just saved him, so it just seems REALLY forced.

At any rate, I don't think I'll be watching again. Maybe I'll watch tonight to finish the 2 part pilot and reassess it (Though that line on the commercial "I call shotgun! I call 9 millimeter." as they get in the car makes me cringe everytime.)

If I do watch rest assured that if anyone says "Hasta la vista, baby" I'm changing the channel.

I was pretty sure between all the commercials that I had already seen the whole 1st season. Seriously though, there was no way I was going to watch it. I'm pretty sure someone came up with the worst show idea ever on purpose to try and put pressure on the writer's guild to stop the strike.		Rate this comment Yours: Rated 0 times.
