Ryan Braun wins R.O.Y.

Ryan Braun wins R.O.Y. 2nd Brewer ever to win the award. Pat Listach won it in 1992, unfortunately his career peaked at the same time. Scott Podsednik won every R.O.Y award in 2004 except the A.P. award (basically, he got hosed.) Anyway, here's to a long, elustrious career for the Brauny Paper Towel guy.

For Podsednik it was actually the 2003 award, and Brandon Webb got hosed, not Podsednik. |

Wow, can't believe I typed the wrong year. Embarrasing. Just for arguments sake, and I'm only considering the option that Podsednik got hosed: Scott Podsednik was the first rookie ever to bat .300 AND score 100 runs while stealing 43 bases in the process. But whatever, I'm not bitter. I just can't believe Dontrelle Willis won it that year. I think he had like 1 win in the 2nd half of that year. |

Yeah, Willis definitely got "extra credit" for his outstanding first half of the season. I would be amenable to the view that Podsednik should have finished ahead of Willis, but Webb had the best year of the three. |

I could concede to that. COULD, (looking at Webb's numbers, he had a decent rookie year), but won't. |

So A-Rod won the AL MVP, no suprise there. But Jimmy Rollins for the NL MVP? Personally I would've without a doubt voted for Matt Holliday. |

I thought it would be between Holiday and Fielder. |
