That's right, the sporting event of the year will be going on quite shortly and probably none of you will be watching. But you should.

The French Open Men's Final (that's tennis) takes place on Sunday morning and even if you're not a tennis fan, I encourage you to watch.

Roger Federer is taking on Rafael Nadal. Not only are they the best two players in the world right now, there's added drama in this one.

Roger Federer is an all-time great (you could make the case he's the best ever) and he's facing off against Nadal who is arguably the best clay-court player ever. This is like the tennis equivalent of Superman fighting Aquaman in an underwater match.

Making the stakes even higher is the fact that Federer currently holds the three other Grand Slam titles, meaning a win on Sunday would give him a non-calendar year Grand Slam and put him halfway to a calendar year Slam. This hasn't happened in guy's tennis in a while. We're talking decades. But Nadal of course, is the two-time defending French Open champ. He beat Federer in the finals last year in a pretty entertaining match. I think it went five sets. Plus, until recently, Nadal hadn't lost on clay in something like 81 matches. Who broke the streak? That's right, Roger Federer. Just last month.

If you haven't realized it, this is really cool. Both of these guys had to win six matches to face off against each other and each lived up to their end of the bargain. Even if you don't follow tennis, this match has enough going for it that everyone should watch. You'll see some shots that will impress you even if you don't know what a good shot looks like. So pull yourself out of bed and watch.

It's on NBC. So if you have a tv you can probably watch it.

Yeah, but it's tennis. So having a TV is no excuse to watch it. emoticon
