Steve Irwin, the famed Crocodile Hunter, died yesterday when a stingray spooked and stabbed him in the chest. I guess in a way it is fitting that if he had to die, he died at the hands of an animal.

This guy was someone whom you felt like you knew. When he talked in his shows, it felt like he was talking directly to you. He seemed genuienly sincere, he loved what he did as much as anyone could ever love their job, and he did everything he could to express his love and passion for animals with his viewers and his friends. The animal kingdom lost an honorable guardian, and the world lost one of the few celebrities that you could actually look up to and call a role model. Mr. Irwin, this "Crikey" is for you.

What's really unfortunate is how unlucky he was to get it in like the only place that would be leathal. That and chances are him being killed is on film.		Rate this comment Yours: Rated 0 times.

I guess Steve always told his camera crew to keep filming even if he was being mauled and that he would want it aired if it happened. So not only was it filmed but it will most likely be available in some format.		Rate this comment Yours: Rated 0 times.
