So, on a scale from 1 to 10 where does Jack's wife fall on the "ungrateful bitch-o-meter"? I'd say 12.

I was bowling last night so I missed it. Hopefully that episode will be on at 7 next week so I can catch up.

I'd say 5 for a few reasons:

1. That's Ms. Vessey and I can't get that angry at Ms. Vessey.

2. It's not like Jack was without fault in the whole thing.

3. It was an obvious ploy by the show to get us to feel empathy for Jack.

Well he kissed that woman, but his wife was already leaving him, worse she already had a man on the side.

He was a workaholic doctor that took a woman who wasn't supposed to walk again and made her completely "normal." Shockingly he wasn't home a lot. It's not like he neglected her for 30 years or something.

If you we're facing lifetime total paralysis and a doctor made you a 100% better I'm pretty sure it would take longer than a couple years of ignoring you, because he was saving other lives, until you hated him.

Your 3rd point is basically saying "but it's a TV show" which is obvious. Why the writers did it is obvious. I was asking a hypothetical question about the actions given a situation.

If you take into account the flashbacks in previous episodes (especially the one where Jack was having an extreme case of cold feet) then I think its clear that they probably shouldn't have gotten married in the first place. They both probably really cared for each other, but the whole doctor/patient miracle recovery thing tricked them into thinking it was something more (at least thats what I think). So while she deserves a fair portion of the blame for the breakup, I can't really blame her for the whole thing as he was obviously partly to blame for not making an effort to be around and, as mentioned earlier, that they probably weren't right for each other in the first place. I do give Jack credit though for trying to work things out, albeit a little too late, and since she wasn't as willing maybe she gets bumped up to a 6, but not any higher.
