I was watching "A Civil Action" on tv the other day. If you haven't seen it it's pretty good, bacially a about male Erin Brockovich. A town is exposed to bad water and a law firm runs itself into the ground trying to prosecute the companies responsible.

What I thought was odd was all the commercials targeted at sick people. There were commercials for people exposed to asbestos or people who had Mesothelioma and other various sicknesses that lawyers wanted to call them about.

It seemed odd to me because although the laywers in the movie were trying to help sick people why would that increase the odds that someone who thought they unjustly contracted Mesothelioma would happen to be watching and would be in need of a lawyer?

I think it would increase the odds that said people would actually be willing to make the phone call.

Plus when Ian Anderson tells you to call a lawyer about your mesothelioma you better do it. Do not deny Jethro Tull or they will rock you harder than mesothelioma could ever hurt you.

Who would you call for peritoneal mesothelioma or malignant pleural mesothelioma? Whould you still call Lan Anderson or Bye Goff and Rohde?

I guess my point was that the average person wont know the mesothelioma symptoms to even know if they had it and if they got a mesothelioma diagnosis from a doctor than more than likely they've done something about it.
